  Personally I love J Alexander's. Classic fine dining done very well. The food is always consistent and always consistently good. Usually once I find a few items I like I tend to stick with them, but here I'm never worried to try new things. The servers are always friendly and attentive. They seem to have each other's backs and work well as a team.
  
  We had calamari for our appetizer and it was real pieces, chunks of it. The breading stayed crunchy and didn't just flake off. It was seasoned well and I loved that they provided half a lemon instead of just a small wedge and warmed it up just a bit to provide more juice.
  
  For our main courses we had the baby back ribs with fries and potatoes and lemon cod with mash and broccoli. The ribs had a flavourful sauce marinade and the meat was fall off the bone. The cod was lightly crusted and cooked very well. The lemon sauce paired perfectly with it.
  
  Lastly I want to tell you about their mac & cheese, which is basically delicious. It's gooey and creamy. Crusted on top with bread crumbs that adds excellent texture.
  
  We can not wait to go back again and try more from the menu.

  I love the food here. There is always a pretty long wait for a table, but the bar is nice to wait at and have a drink.
